Kinetica Pre.Fuel Berry Review

When you’re preparing for a martial arts session or a session lifting weights at the gym, you sometimes need an extra kick to get you through. That’s where pre-workout supplements come in use, as taking them prior to your workout can help you to get more out of your training session.

In this review, I’ll be taking a look at pre-workout supplement Kinetica Pre.Fuel Berry flavour.

Kinetica have a great track record with their supplements. I’ve reviewed a few of their products previously and have always been pleasantly surprised by them, especially with their strong, delicious taste, which is half the battle won.

With the pre-workout supplement, I decided to take it half an hour before training Ju-Jitsu in the evening, around 7.30pm before the 8pm class. I normally find my body slows down a little in the evening as it prepares for imminent sleep, so lets see if the pre-workout manages to switch me on and energise me!

Appearance, Smell and Taste

As soon as I open the 10g sample sachet of Kinetica Pre.Fuel, the strong berry flavour smell hits me. The powder consists of fine crystal like granules, finer than sugar, in a light pink colour. The back of the packet suggests I should add the powder to 300-350ml of water so I opt for 350ml in my shaker bottle.

Pouring the powder into 350ml of water instantly turns the water into a strong pink colour. It’s still quite bitty, so it needs a good shake using the shaker!

After shaking the bottle for around 10 seconds or so, the powder is well mixed and opening the lid, the strong berry scent emanates from the bottle.

Replacing the shaker lid, I take a gulp of the mixture. Wow! It tastes so sweet, almost tangy, with a strong berry flavour. The flavour is really nice though the sweetness is a bit of a shock! Continuing to drink the Kinetic Pre.Fuel supplement, I can taste that it’s still a tad bitty, only a bit though, but still super sweet. After a few sips, I get used to the tangy flavour and taste the refreshing aspect of it. Despite it’s sensory overload on your tastebuds, it’s quite a tasty drink.

Kinetica Pre.Fuel Berry Effects

kinetica-prefuel-berry-shakeThe pre-workout supplement from Kinetica contains beta alanine and states on the back of the sachet that you may experience skin tingling. I’ve taken beta alanine before on its own from Optimum Nutrition, and I found it to tingle and burn a lot. After drinking the Pre.Fuel from Kinetica, I felt my lips tingle a little for a short while but that is it for tingling sensations! What a relief.

I made my way to the gym and at 8pm, I started to get a bit warm, though I wasn’t sure if it was just me or that it was actually warm in the gym. As it turned out, I think it was a bit of both but it was clear the supplement had kicked in. Kinetica Pre.Fuel woke me up from my sluggishness and got my body pumping as the class started. Half-way through the class, I could tell I was sweating a bit more than usual, which was down to the high caffeine content of Pre.Fuel, but it was manageable.

Having not trained for a week, the Berry flavoured Pre.Fuel supplement gave me an extra boost to get through training and work that little bit extra when grappling with my fellow jujitsukas. I felt pretty alert through the training session and thankfully, it did not keep me awake at night as I managed to get soundly to sleep at my usual time.
