Cris Cyborg Set For Two Muay Thai Fights on 25th August in Thailand

Newly crowned Invicta FC 145lb Champion and former Strikeforce Womens Featherweight Champion, Cris Cyborg Justino, will be making her first visit to Thailand one to remember by fighting TWO opponents in a Muay Thai SuperFight event at the Chiang Mai Stadium on Sunday 25th August 2013.

According to female combat sports site WombatSports, Cris Cyborg will represent Chute Boxe Muay Thai, fighting Muay Thai rules in three rounds against top French Thai boxer, Angelique Pitiot, and two rounds against Italy’s finest, Annalisa Bucci.

Former MMA fighter, Kim Couture, will be joining Cyborg on the card after transitioning to kickboxing, and will be fighting against Thailand’s very own, Petchrocha Looksaikongdin.

The mixed card Muay Thai SuperFight looks incredible, not to mention Cris Cyborg’s no mean feat of taking on two opponents in one night.

With titles on the line and Thai boxers from across the world competing, from the United Kingdom, Russia, Japan, USA, France, Italy, Brazil and Thailand, the fight will be a world-class spectacular.

Judging from the banner above, it is presumed the fight will be screened via the Net TV USA channe in the States.

Shop4 Martial Arts is proud to sponsor Cris Cyborg’s gym, Academia The Rock, in her hometown of Curitiba, Brazil, where children and adults can learn in the arts of Muay Thai, BJJ and MMA.
