Tatami Fightwear Launch Competitor BJJ GI

It’s amazing how Tatami has grown over the last decade and they continue to innovate and bring new products to the line, including the latest in the series of BJJ gis, the Tatami Competitor Gi.

This BJJ gi has been created for those competitors who’d rather their skills do the talking with a subtle design accentuated by a contrast trim, the colour of which depends on the colour of gi chosen. White gis feature a navy trim, blue gis feature white trim and black features a red trim; an eye-catching flourish to set itself apart from the other minimalist gis out there.

Like all good competitor gis, Tatami’s offering is lightweight but durable to hold up to the rigours of competitive grappling, with full flexibility to allow you to attack or defend without hindrance. The 375gsm pearl weave jacket features curved side vents for more an athletic cut as well as extra reinforcements on the sleeves and jacket bottom. The 10oz twill cotton gi pants feature extra reinforcements on the ankle opening to provide the durability required – this will come in handy when facing opponents who utilise gi pant grips when passing guard.

Whilst its appearance may not be loud and proud, the Tatami Competitor Gi still has a statement to make with its contemporary design. Same colour kanji embroidery decorates the left lapel for a clean look whilst Tatami contrast embroidery adorns the right shoulder.  Small ‘competitor’ branding can also be seen complimenting the jacket and pants leg.
